The Department of Clinical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University in collaboration with IKA Medica (Undip Medical Faculty Alumni Association) held community service activities at the At-Taqwa Orphanage, Kec. Tembalang Semarang on September 10, 2022. Through this activity the Clinical Pathology Section seeks to increase knowledge and understanding to the public about the importance of knowing the status of anemia in children and adolescents.
The event began with the delivery of material about anemia by Dr. dr. Meita Hendrianingtyas, MSi.Med, SpPK(K). After that, it was followed by an examination of blood hemoglobin levels and blood types which were followed by all children and adolescents at the At Taqwa Orphanage. This is followed by further examination of the group of anemic children to determine the cause of anemia. Present at the activity which was also a series to enliven the Dies Natalis of FK Undip, the Chair of the Service Team Prof. Dr.dr. Banundari Rachmawati, SpPK(K), Head of Section dr. Dwi Retnoningrum, Sp.PK(K), Head of the Undip Medical Faculty Study Program, Dr. dr. Nyoman Suci W, M.Kes., Sp.PK (K) and Lecturer Dr. dr. I. Edward KSL, MM, M.H.Kes.,M.Si.Med., Sp.PK(K), dr. Ariosta Sp.PK (K), and Tendik Rizky Dyaz Afriana, AMd, Devina Kemalasari, SE as the committee.
